ב-12 לאפריל 1999 התבצעה עסקת תכשיטים בבית ברחוב אלמוגים באילת, בין שני אנשים. כמה דקות לפני השעה שמונה בערב התקבלה קריאה על המקרה במשטרת אילת. צוות מגן דוד אדום שהגיע למקום מצא במקום שני נפגעים מירי, שכובים ללא רוח חיים באמבט של הדירה. נראו גם סימני קטטה ונשיכות. סוחר תכשיטים הגיע לדירה לשם עשיית עסקה. במהלך העסקה נכנס למקום אדם גבוה, רעול פנים, ודרש כי יתנו לו תכשיטים או כסף". בהמשך לדרישת הפורץ התפתח במקום עימות והפורץ ירה בבעל החנות. לאחר ירי זה החל סוחר התכשיטים מתגושש עם הפורץ ובמהלך הקטטה ירה בו הפורץ למוות. לאחר 10 ימים נתפס יעקב צ'ינו ונשפט ל-20 שנות מאסר. כיום בדירה מתגורר תייר מהולנד, שלא ידע על המקרה.
On the 12th of April 1999 two men met in an apartment in Almogim Street, Eilat, to cut a jewelry deal. A few minutes pass 8 o’clock at night, the local police’s telephone rang with a call for help from a neighbor. Red Cross first aid arrived to the scene finding the two men shot dead in the bathtub. There were struggle marks on the bodies. One of them came to the house to cut a deal with the other and durring the conversation they were interrupted by a third man who robbed them. Due to the refusal to cooperate with him they were shot and placed in the bathtub. After ten days Jacob Chino, the murderer, was caught and trialed. He was sentenced for 20 years in prison. Now the apartment is populated by a Dutch tourist who had no idea of the happenings
